The ECC83S / 12AX7 is a duel high gain pre-amplifying double triode. Thanks to its design it also performs with very low noise and microphonics. Harmonically rich, with a detailed low end and a warm high end.
These valves are usually found in a range of tube amps, and sometimes require more than one. Because they're a pre-amp tube they don't usually need to be matched (JJ don't offer this service on them).
Made in the old Tesla factory and based on their classic designs.
