This pedal will plug directly into your speaker cab. Think of it as a type of amp head in a small package. Because of the low power the 5mm breaks up and saturate really easily. It gets even better when you put a pedal which functions as a preamp in front of it. Any distortions or overdrive should work great for this purpose.
