The Hot Tubes Nano is an overdrive / boost pedal. It's vintage sounding (does natural tube breakup very well) and transparent with a very good boost to the low end. It's great at cutting through the mix - especially in a gigging situation. This pedal seems to slightly split opinion from our experience, it's a love it or hate it type pedal.
