The Turbo Rat has incredibly high output when compared to the other RAT pedals. It has more of an open tone which is much less compressed and has more of a bottom end. You can get slightly clearer distortion than the RAT2 perhaps at the expense of versatility (although this depends on setup). This RAT is still made in America vs the Chinese made RAT2.
