New York based Electro Harmonix offer amazing reliability, innovative ideas while being available at great prices. EHX have got some of the most instantly recognisable pedals around and have added a multitude of amazing new pedals to their vintage circuits. They've also got one of the biggest ranges of pedals available rivalling the other big manufacturers like BOSS. They've got some really weird and wonderful ones if you're after a nice tone or sound. They do it all from Flanger, to filter, distortion, modulation, switchers, octave, and of course, fuzz.
The most popular Electro Harmonix pedals are of course the Muff fuzz pedal range. The pedal which first put them on the map. They have reissued all their classic versions of the Muff because the vintage originals were going for crazy prices at auction. They’re every bit as good as the original and even seek to improve upon them. The Soul Food - a great clone of the classic Klon is also another of their best selling pedals.
Electro Harmonix occupy a great middle position in the market. Their pedals aren’t too expensive to buy (no £200+ for just a distortion), nor are they so cheap that the reliability becomes a question. So they’re very suitable for gigging musicians and bedroom players alike. They’re one of the bigger pedal manufacturers so they can make pedals in larger quantities and therefore cut costs compared to smaller manufacturers. In terms of overall value they’re really hard to beat. Reliability is great, so far only 0.2% of customers we have served, have had a confirmed fault.
