The MB2 solves the issues of combining piezo and regular pickups in your instrument by acting as a buffer. Usually impedance differences make this a problem. It works with 1-3 regular pickups, a piezo and EQ.

MB-1 has stereo output as well as XLR balanced output. MB-2 does not.
