Empress effects were founded in Canada around 2005-2006 by Steve Bragg. They've come a long way since their first pedal and now have a team of several designers and builders. They specialise in producing pedals which offer extra features or utility. As you can see below, their pedals are full of extra knobs, foot switches, stereo and even micro SD functionality. Some of their pedals are closer to mini computers rather than a standard stomp box!
