Tung Sol have got some what of a reputation for being one of the best modern production tubes. Often described as transparent and smooth, they've got great reliability and tone. Made in the same factory as EHX tubes, they do have a different design (they're not just rebrands!) Their 12AX7 is particularly excellent.
