FiiO FD5 Hybrid In-Ear Monitors
FiiO has released its latest single dynamic driver pair of in-ear monitors, the FiiO FD5. The stainless-steel earpieces look stunning and house a DLC (Diamond-Like Coated) Beryllium coated dome diaphragm dynamic driver unit. If you are looking for powerful flagship-grade sound quality, the FD5 is the right choice for you.
Best Configuration for Best Sound Quality
FiiO has spared no effort in creating their new flagship product, in the FD5 is a newly developed large 12mm dynamic driver utilizing N52 magnets with a high magnetic flux of 1.5 Tesla – for extremely robust bass and excellent high frequency resolution.
It features a Diamond-like coated diaphragm and a beryllium coated dome, both these rigid and flexible materials complement each other and results in swift sound conduction and internal damping. Overall the frequency response is balanced and distortion is minimized at all frequency ranges.
Stunning Design
The earpieces in FiiO FD5 are beautifully crafted. They are made up of high-quality stainless-steel material that is durable and solid with a lustrous finish. The semi-open back structure gives room for air pressure inside the cavities. This allows swift movement of the moving coil resulting in a distortion-free smooth sound with powerful bass slams.
Dual-Cavity Acoustic Structure
To provide a distortion-free sound output, acoustic teams at FiiO has designed the FD5 with a dual cavity structure. The front cavity acoustic prism enhances the high-frequency diffusion and phase adjustment function, which allows precise control of the sound wave. The back cavity features a semi-open back design that manages the air pressure inside the chambers.
