With the two band EQ you can dial in loads of great overdrive tones with the Crayon 69. From the verge of a duty sounding crunch to a mild boost. It's quite transparent too, but not extremely so (in case that's what you're after check out the Soul Food).
Also it works really well with high volumes without impacting tone. The difference between this pedal and the type 1 (76) is just cosmetic - they have exactly the same circuits. It has been really well reviewed for use with bass guitars too. Has a one year warranty.
