The R1 is packed with features yet is really user friendly. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the design and layout; flick switches mixed in with the knobs really allow Walrus to make best use of the space while allowing massive scope for reverb tones. There are 6 main modes - Spring, Hall, Plate, BFR, Refract and Air. These can all be adjusted further by the knobs - Tweak, Decay, Swell, Mix and Tune. Tweak and Tune are actually 3 controls each- Rate Depth and Pre Day and LD High and X respectively. The function of X changes depending on reverb mode. This essentially gives 9 different parameters.
