The EGO compressor was designed to give a similar natural compression to a good tube amp when it's being pushed. It's great at evening everything out but while not colouring your tone. The "Tone" knob is unusual on compressors, this one goes from being noticeable at lower settings to adding more presence at higher settings. The other knobs function as you'd expect for maximum control over the compression.
